Accessibility statement

Our goal
We want everyone who handles evidence, and everyone who needs to check a record, to be able to use CustodyTrack.io. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA for the website and application.
That is a target we work toward, not a certification: no independent accessibility audit of the Service has been performed.
How we check
Pages are tested with automated accessibility checks (axe) at phone and desktop widths, and the source code is checked for common problems such as missing labels and unreachable scrollable regions before each release.
Known limitations
Exported PDFs, including custody record PDFs, the free chain of custody form, and the classroom pack, are not tagged PDFs. A screen reader can read their text but may not convey their table structure or reading order reliably. If you need a record or a document in another format, ask us and we will provide it.
Hash values and verification codes are long strings of letters and numbers. They are shown as text you can select, copy, and enlarge, but comparing them character by character is hard for everyone and harder with some disabilities.
The site uses a single light color scheme and does not offer a dark mode.
Some steps are provided by third parties and are outside our direct control: payment pages hosted by Stripe and, when it is enabled, the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check on the sign-up, sign-in, and password-reset forms.
Ask for help or an accommodation
